Description |
This 'story' offers an account of the opening days of 3rd Ypres, in Edmund Blunden hands. It was written shortly after the experience, and can be compared to 'The Crash of the Pillars' section of the memoir 'Undertones of War' (1928). This pages describes the occupation and bombardment of the 'Black Line' and the Falkenhayn Redoubt, and a Capt Murray burying the dead. |
